“From the moment I saw the Just Explore web site I felt we had found the travel experience we were looking for. And we were not disappointed.
Rosa met us at the Malaga railway station as arranged with a warm Spanish greeting and from then on we knew we were in capable hands. Everything was so well organised and after meeting up with our fellow travellers we soon found ourselves in Granada . Rosa’s evening orientation walk was a wonderful introduction to this fascinating city and a drink and tapas before watching the moon come up over the Alhambra was a sight that is etched in our memories. In each city we went to the expert guides gave us detailed information about the history, architecture and culture, in excellent English, and were obviously passionate about their home city. There was also some free time to explore places on our own afterwards most days. The accommodation was great – all the hotels were small, charming and of a high standard with generous breakfasts. And the restaurants that Rosa selected for lunch were always excellent. She was able to recommend local specialties and helped us to make great choices. We never left the table disappointed. …. or hungry! Rosa also introduced us to some great Spanish wines. The experience of seeing olives being picked and oil made was fascinating. Also the winery that we visited was very interesting and we learnt about grape growing and wine making unique to the Córdoba area. The wine tasting was accompanied by a delicious home cooked lunch. Ably led by Rosa Lara, Just Explore provided us with what we were looking for – a small group tour of the Andalucian area of Spain with a focus on history and culture, staying in atmospheric hotels and tasting some of the specialties of the area. We were able to spend plenty of time at places and didn’t feel rushed at all.
Rosa and her trusted team, looked after everyone and everything so well, driving us safely from one place to another, packing our bags into the comfortable vehicle and showing us their country which they so obviously love.
